…and that’s why I don’t like cricket…
Characters from a series of images for the Independent. The final images were set up slightly differently to fit more closely to the specifications, but I still like these versions.
These characters were originally included in another illustration but had to be scrapped so I thought I’d quickly make up an image on their own.
Luminous Rabbits
This image was inspired by Genetic Modification, and is a playful twist on the manipulation of animals to make them glow in the dark under UV light. It is a montage of a number photographs put together in Photoshop, which was also used to create the luminous look of the rabbits.
CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR
This is an idea I had while sitting in a New York taxi. Disgruntled furry creatures are shown chasing down taxis and causing havoc with the busy traffic. It was initially created as a sketch but then transferred to Photoshop to add more detail using custom brushes.
Rabbits at Play
This image was inspired by a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I wanted it to be fun and show the energy and excitement of the rabbits. It is a combination of hand drawn characters and objects created in 3ds Max, using Photoshop to blend the various elements with the photograph. Ideally I would want to create a much larger image with lots more characters, action and detail.
