Scan from my sketchbook. Just been watching a program about a polar/grizzly bear crossbreed, and was reminded of this I did a while back. I thought I’d made up some new creature, a dragon-giraffe hybrid, a Giragon! But I’ve since found out there’s actually plenty of other ppl on the same wavelength. Ah well. The other guy on there is a caricature of the bloke who pushes the drinks trolley on the train home!
Here’s 1 of a series of new idents for Renault TV, animated by The Neighbourhood, working with Lambie-Nairn.
There’s a bit of a write up on Broadcast, here
Ok so I didn’t have much to do with this one, but I’m posting it anyway because I happen to make a brief appearance, watch out for my superb painting skills at the start! :)
Update on my Karl Pilkington inspired movie poster. Most of it is blocked in now, really need to speed up my workflow and find more time to finish some of these ideas off!
Work in progress. I’ve got a lot more planned for this chap, maybe involving some heavy 3d work and fluids, but I’m just about happy with the main character.
Doodle I did on the train home. It doesn’t mean anything in particular, but it seems to have turned into some sort of God of Wind with an oversized parrot, or undersized plane…
This is an idea based on an old Ricky Gervais Podcast. Ricky teaches Karl about a tree frog with enough poison to kill 1000 men, which totally confuses Karl into thinking its a psychotic frog with 1000 to kill! Thinking of creating this image in the style of a B Movie poster.
It’s been a long time since I posted anything up on here. There should be a lot more activity in the coming weeks when I update my portfolio. Hopefully I’ll get chance to work up some of these sketches into finished pieces too!
These ninja mice WILL get into an animation at some point!
This didn’t start off as anything to do with global warming, but I think that’s what it turned out to be. Switch off those lights and cycle to work ppl! :)
…and that’s why I don’t like cricket…
Characters from a series of images for the Independent. The final images were set up slightly differently to fit more closely to the specifications, but I still like these versions.
These characters were originally included in another illustration but had to be scrapped so I thought I’d quickly make up an image on their own.
