Doodle I did on the train home. It doesn’t mean anything in particular, but it seems to have turned into some sort of God of Wind with an oversized parrot, or undersized plane…
This is an idea based on an old Ricky Gervais Podcast. Ricky teaches Karl about a tree frog with enough poison to kill 1000 men, which totally confuses Karl into thinking its a psychotic frog with 1000 to kill! Thinking of creating this image in the style of a B Movie poster.
Work in progress. I’ve got a lot more planned for this chap, maybe involving some heavy 3d work and fluids, but I’m just about happy with the main character.
It’s been a long time since I posted anything up on here. There should be a lot more activity in the coming weeks when I update my portfolio. Hopefully I’ll get chance to work up some of these sketches into finished pieces too!
These ninja mice WILL get into an animation at some point!
This didn’t start off as anything to do with global warming, but I think that’s what it turned out to be. Switch off those lights and cycle to work ppl! :)
…and that’s why I don’t like cricket…
Characters from a series of images for the Independent. The final images were set up slightly differently to fit more closely to the specifications, but I still like these versions.
These characters were originally included in another illustration but had to be scrapped so I thought I’d quickly make up an image on their own.
Pitch for the Independant newspaper for a set of 5 illustrations based on gap year student stereo types.
Ink drawing, edited a little in Photoshop. Did this a while ago and never got around to finishing it. The end result will probably differ greatly from this but I thought I’d try out a different style.
The purpose of this illustration was to test out how the mix of 2d and 3d elements that I had created would sit together. The scene was also an idea I had in which the scientist would appear from over the hill and grab one of the bouncing rabbits to take back to the lab.
This shows the different jellyfish/octopus character ideas I had for the start of evolution. The animation would play out in a similar way to the Guinness evolution adverts, which were very fast paced with lots of action. Again I realised that this would take far too long to animate succesfully in the time I had to complete the project.
